Two Teeth!!!!

Mary's teeth are coming in strong.  She is chewing and drooling up a storm.  They are so cute!  Andy got some perfect shots of Mary this morning showing off her new smile.  Oh and I am so excited for my Aunt Mary, Mary's namesake.  She was having major troubles with her internet and hasn't been able to see the blog for quite some time now.  But, I hear she has had the experts over and they have worked out the kinks.  I am so glad Aunt Mary.  We love you.  I'll be sure to keep up the posts with new pictures for you and the girls.  I wonder if you can see the videos now?  Hope so.  :)

What a Day.

(hubba)  ;)

I spent the day with Andy and Mary hiking the coastal trail that Andy runs every Saturday morning.   I'll admit, I have never actually seen this trail, but Andy finally convinced me to get it in gear and pack it up and take a day and see it.  IT WAS AMAZING.  It's literally a 5 minute drive from the front door.  It was a bit crisp and the fog was starting to roll in like a silent ghost about to take over the city, but we just caught it as it crossed over the Golden Gate Bridge (photo below).   In true California fashion we topped off our hike with a picnic at Crissy Field, and downed some juicy all grass fed beef franks with organic mustard and relish.  mmmmmmmmmmm.   The coke sweetened with all natural cane sugar did make the cut, however.  I'll take an ice cold coke, chemically altered and all any time.  Mary and her Dad had fun playing in Crissy Field's plush green grass.  What a day.

Mary and Andy had a little photo shoot last night while I was at work.  I think some of these pics show her sparkling personality.  She is such a little munchkin and is just crawling up a storm now and getting into everything.  She is quite proud of herself.  Andy shot an amazing little video of her crawling which I am struggling to get up on this blog.  It's coming....I PROMISE!

Lake Sonoma

As mentioned in my last post, we stopped at Lake Sonoma while on our little trip up to wine country.  It was beautiful.  We found a peaceful spot under a bridge and Mary took a little nap on her blanket while the boys and dogs went for a swim.  Dad, that crisp blue water is calling your name.

My deepest apologies to anyone who finds the above picture inappropriate.  Personally, I think it's the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Sorry to Say Goodbye

Well, we say goodbye to Uncle A and Aunt K this week.  We had such a nice time with them, and Mary certainly soaked up all of the attention she could get.  I can tell she misses them already.  I can't tell you how nice it was to be able to leave Mary to play with her family.  She really seems to thrive when she is around people who truly love her.  By the end of the week she could crawl.  I'm not kidding.  No crawling before they arrived...to crawling from room to room the day after they left.  Video to come.  I am stressing a bit about baby proofing.  I feel like things are pretty safe with the exception of some very necessary baby gates, but its seems like every time I turn around she is into something I hadn't even thought of.  Wish me luck.

Well how about some pics.  On Saturday we packed up the car with a babe and two dogs in tow and headed to Healdsburg for the day.  We did our usual round of tastings and then had a really lovely picnic.  It was the weekend in wine country so there was a musician on the grounds where we had lunch.  It was so nice listening to the guitar and munching on some amazing cheese and crisp wine.  Afterwards we headed to lake Sonoma where Andy, Adam, Nigel and Trevor took a dip.  They swam while Mary Moo took a snooze with Katie and I on the beach.  It was really nice to get out of the foggy city and into wine country for some sun.

Fort Funston and Family

IMG_1001 Mary's Uncle A and Auntie K are here this week and we are so happy to have them.  They are both so great with Mary Moo and she love them dearly.  Uncle A survived getting puked on last night and afterward even got Mary to go to sleep.  She was especially fussy because her two bottom teeth are strugglin' to make an appearance.  I tried to give her some Tylenol while he was holding her and she yarked down his sleeve.  Nice work Missy.  But, he took it like a champ.   It hasn't been all work though.  Yesterday we hiked with the dogs at Fort Funston.  Trevor and Nigel had a glorious time playing in the sand and surf.  If you notice at the bottom, Nigel is humping Katie's leg and we are dying laughing in the pic above.  She has his "favorite" blanket wrapped around her waste.  I guess he's got a thing for fleece.  ;)

Love my Daddy!

Here Mary is relaxing with her Daddy on the weekend.  Mary loves him so much, she squeals and squirms for him to take her whenever he enters the room.  Only 7 months old and she is already a Daddy's girl.  I say she has his number dialed in.....on speed dial no less.  She knows what to do to get his attention.  She can turn on some crocodile tears at the drop of a hat.  Smart girl.....that trick will work well for her in years to come....

Sweet Mary at the Playground

IMG_0968 Ahhhh....here we are again, soaking up some of those precious rays of California sun in our favorite sandbox.  Mary loves her some sand.  Catherine says is ok because its calcium fortified!  :)  She loves it when one of us sits on the ground while she is the in the swing waiting to grab her little feet when she swings towards us.

Beautiful California

Here are some shots I snapped while on a walk through Golden Gate Park a few weeks ago.  The rose garden is in bloom and it's so beautiful.  The air is so sweet.  I wish we cook cut some, and bring them home.  Catherine and I discovered this waterfall on a walk around Stow Lake that lies in the middle of the park.  The park never ceases to amaze me.  I feel like I find a new surprise every time we venture in a new direction.
